How to Remove Recommended Channels on Twitch?

How to remove Recommended Channels on Twitch? – Surely you have found yourself in the following situation: Twitch recommends you some channels that you are not interested in and you would like them not to appear in your feed again.

How to Remove Recommended Channels on Twitch

Now, it is possible to remove the recommended channels on Twitch : it is a way of making the platform understand that what it is showing you does not interest you, so you help the algorithm to better understand your tastes and offer you other channels that suit you best to your interests.

First of all, if you’re a bit lost and don’t know exactly what the recommended channels are, all you have to do is go to Twitch:

What Is The Twitch Recommended Section

You’ll see a series of featured channels appear on the main page under the name “Live channels that might interest you” :

They also appear in the column on your left with the name “Recommended Channels”; just below the list of Twitch profiles that you do follow and therefore you will always see if they are streaming:

Keep in mind that most of the channels that appear recommended to us are streamers who are in the promotion phase: when you have the Twitch partner , among many advantages, you can get what is popularly known as a “cover”.

This means that during a given month or day, Twitch positions you at the top of the platform, regardless of our preferences . Likewise, now Twitch offers us the possibility of “blocking” the recommended content that we do not like. Do you find this function useful?

How To Remove A Streamer From Recommended Channels On Twitch

To remove a specific recommending channel, we cannot do it from the left column but we will go to the main page block where we see the thumbnails of the recommended channels.

You will see that it is very simple: we simply click on the three little balls that appear next to the channel and click on “I am not interested”.

You will see that the other option that appears is “Report this channel”, which for now does not apply.

Once we click “I’m not interested”, Twitch already understands that this channel and others like it do not fit the content that interests us and from now on it will better adjust its algorithm to offer us a little more variety.

We will see that when removing the recommendation of a channel, Twitch gives us the option to undo the action if we want Twitch to recommend this channel again at some point :

We will go to the three balls again and click on the undo option. This option will only appear if we have this channel as not recommended.

We will also see that we can click on Settings :

from here we can also undo our actions. Twitch will take us to a tab where we can see all the channels that we have marked as not interesting to us.

From there we can re-mark them as recommended if we change our mind:

We just need to click on the “X” that we will see next to the channel and we will see a notification that says “Comment deleted”: this means that the channel can appear as recommended again.

In this same tab, we can also see other records such as comments that we have made specific to a specific category or video.

And that’s it, you see that it’s very easy to remove recommended channels on Twitch, and undo your actions if you change your mind.
