How to Add Custom Transitions in Streamlabs

How to Add Custom Transitions in Streamlabs – In 2023, more and more people are getting into streaming, especially through Streamlabs software. Transitions are used to create an animation when the streamer passes from one scene to another, giving a slightly smoother result.

To add a transition on Streamlabs OBS, you will need to click on the “Edit scene transitions” wheel in the Scenes tab of the software. Then you can choose between several options such as: swipe, move, slide ect.

To be able to configure a transition, you must first have at least two scenes. The configuration of the transition itself is, on the other hand, not very complicated to configure.

How to Add Custom Transitions in Streamlabs

To configure a transition, you will need at least two scenes. If you don’t know how to create scenes, we wrote an article on the subject:

In our example, we will use two scenes to create the transition: an image announcing the start of the stream, and another representing our League of Legends streaming scene.

Click on the “Edit scene transitions” wheel, present in the “Scene” tab.

A transition is already set up as standard, but you can decide to change its duration, direction or type. You can also decide to create a second one.

Click on the small pencil to modify the parameters.

You have the choice between 8 different transitions:

  • To cut
  • Molten
  • Scanning
  • Slippage
  • color fade
  • Luminance Scan
  • Stinger
  • Movement

In our example, we have chosen the wipe transition, which gives:

You can apply this concept for all the transitions between your different scenes!
